About Us

Owned and operated by John and Mabeth Diaz, Tico’s Farm & Cattle is built on a deep love for the land and a commitment to producing high-quality livestock with integrity and care. What started as a small family operation has grown into a trusted name in East Texas, known for strong genetics, responsible breeding, and hands-on attention to every animal.

Our operation runs on two pillars: premier Brahman breeding and full-scale commercial cattle production. We raise Angus, Hereford, Brangus, Charolais, and Beefmaster cattle for commercial beef production, proudly supporting livestock auctions in Carthage and Crockett, Texas, and the broader East Texas community. From the show ring to the auction yard, we are committed to producing cattle that perform.

Our dedication has been recognized across some of the most prestigious shows in the region:

  • Reserve Division Champion — Louisiana Sugar Classic- LA
  • Division Champion — Washington County Fair- LA
  • Reserve Champion Red Senior Bull — 2025 International Brahman Show, Bryan- TX
  • Two Reserve Grand Champions — 2026 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo- TX
  • Junior Yearling Champion & Reserve Grand Champion — 2026 South Texas State Fair- TX
  • Reserve Grand Champion & Class Champion — Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo-TX

At Tico’s Farm & Cattle, we believe in more than just raising cattle — we’re building a legacy. Whether you’re looking for elite genetics, quality commercial cattle, or simply share our appreciation for rural life, we’re proud to welcome you into our story.

Our Operation

The Ranch

Located in Long Branch, Texas, near Carthage in the heart of East Texas, Tico's Farm & Cattle sits on land built for serious cattle ranching. Rolling terrain, clean air, and the rich natural environment of East Texas provide the ideal setting for our cattle operation.

El Granero

The barn serves as the central hub of our daily operations — housing feed, supplies, equipment, and refrigeration for veterinary medicines. Everything we need to care for our herd, all in one place.

The Pasture

Our cattle roam freely across expansive open pastures, grazing on fresh grass in a stress-free, open-range environment. Healthy land makes healthy cattle — and that shows in every animal we raise.
